TAPP and Ride
PATH has launched TAPP, or Total Access PATH Payment, a new contactless fare payment system. With TAPP you can pay for your ride directly at the turnstile with a contactless credit/debit card or smart device.
TAPP is now available at all stations. As the pilot continues, the system will gradually expand to additional turnstiles.
TAPP turnstiles do not accept SmartLink or MetroCard. Please continue to use non-TAPP turnstiles when paying with these fare media. TAPP does not accept OMNY.
SmartLink Saves You Money
You can buy multiple trips at a discounted rate with a SmartLink Card. SmartLink Cards can be purchased online or at certain PATH stations.
Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard
PATH also accepts Pay-Per-Ride MetroCards that can be purchased at all stations.
PATH does not accept the Metropolitan Transportation Authority OMNY card.
