February 25, 2008, marks the 100th anniversary of the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad - PATH's predecessor.
We commemorate this milestone by inviting you to view an online historic photo album of the H&M Railroad - from it early beginnings to today, as it currently exists as the Port Authority Trans-Hudson heavy rail transit system.
This photo exhibit is also on display at the PATH Journal Square Transportation Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, adjacent to Port Authority Police Headquarters.

To prepare for the next 100 years, the Port Authority is investing $3.3 billion in PATH improvements to modernize the system and increase capacity. Some of these developments include: a new fleet of PATH cars, a new signal system for a smoother, quicker ride, electronic information displays at all stations, and advanced video surveillance systems.
We're building for the future.
