The one-way PATH full fare is $1.75. Children age 5 and under ride PATH free. SmartLink is the primary fare card of the PATH system. PATH also accepts the QuickCard, PATH SingleRide Ticket, and Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard.
A discounted fare of $1.30 is available to all SmartLink and QuickCard customers purchasing 10, 20, or 40 trip products. Additional savings are provided to SmartLink customers purchasing 1, 7, or 30-day Unlimited Passes.
Customers may purchase blank or pre-loaded 20-trip SmartLink cards online or pre-loaded 10-trip SmartCards from dispensers at most PATH stations. QuickCards are available from newsstands at or near PATH stations. PATH SingleRide Tickets and Pay-Per-Ride MetroCards are available from in-station PATH Vending Machines.
SmartLink customers may enroll in Automatic Replenishment and have their trips refilled automatically. PATH vending machines also allow customers to add trips to the Senior and regular PATH SmartLink Card. The large PATH vending machines accept cash, credit and debit/ATM cards. The small PATH vending machines only accept credit and debit/ATM cards and do not sell the PATH SingleRide Ticket.
The PATH QuickCard and the Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard is valid until the expiration date printed on the back of the card. The PATH SingleRide Ticket is valid for 2 hours from the time of purchase.
Please treat your QuickCard as you would cash, as PATH will not replace any lost or stolen QuickCard. PATH does not refund trips on lost or expired QuickCards or unregistered SmartLink Cards.
